ATV & Hill Buggy Safety Rules

  • All ATV & Hill Buggy riders acknowledge that ATV and Hill Buggy activities are a potentially dangerous activity and will hold Explore Brown County ATV Tours/Hill Climb Buggy Tours and Valley Branch Retreat Inc. and Rhoden LLC harmless in the event of personal injury
  • All ATV & Buggy riders must be at least 16 years old, Buggy riders must be at least 36" tall to be a rider 
  • All Buggy drivers must be 16 years old and have a valid drivers license - 2 photo stops allow drivers to switch and drive and take photos
  • ATV - Single riding only
  • All riders must wear a helmet at all times during the ride. Dress requirements include closed toed shoes Long pants and long sleeved shirts recommended
  • Free riding without the tour guide is forbidden
  • All riders must follow the tour guide in a single-file line spaced a minimum of 12 feet apart for ATV's & 20' feet for Buggies
  • Riders must take the responsibility to become aware of the features of the ATV/Buggy prior to the ride, including the locations of brakes, throttle and ignition switch
  • Riders will be required to listen to a safety talk and must pass a Test Track ride before participating in the tour. Refunds (minus a $20 fee) will be issued to those who cannot pass the Test Track
  • Riders who do not follow the above rules or show reckless intent will be required to stop the ATV or Buggy tour and wait for a ride back to XBC retreat center
  • ATV & Buggy riders will also be liable for any damage to vehicles
  • ATV & Buggy riders will be required to acknowledge their agreement and understanding of the above safety rules prior to beginning the tour ride
  • Preserve and protect the environment – Brake evenly & tread lightly | Pack it in, pack it out
  • No smoking allowed while riding
  • Signed waivers are required prior to participating. Please read, print, sign and bring with you to help your check-in process go smoother. If you are participating in multiple activities, you only need to sign one waiver which will cover all activities. Please arrive 30 minutes early for check-in and the orientation process.
