Engage in a game of Paintball

Paintball is a game of strategy and marksmanship, a variation of tag where players shoot paint-filled capsules at each other out of a specially-designed air-powered gun/marker. The object of the game is to move through a course without getting tagged or marked by the paint-filled balls. According to American Sports Data, paintball has consistently ranked within the top five extreme sports since 1996.

Paintball is played between teams of widely varying sizes, from 3-on-3 to teams of 50 or more. If you love fun team sports, interactive games in the open air that require good reaction times and perfect strategy (both offensive and defensive) then you’re definitely going to love paintball! Games usually last between 5 to 20 minutes each, and players must wear protective equipment like full-face masks and goggles.

Paintball is a great activity for bachelor and/or bachelorette parties, corporate challenges, team building functions and leadership skills.

Arrow Tag® Archery Games

Arrow Tag® Archery Games are a blend of dodge ball, paintball, and laser tag, combining the best aspects of these sports while adding the skill of archery. Players use bows and special rubber-tipped arrows, and Arrow Tag® is a year-round activity that everyone can enjoy. Arrow Tag® Archery Games are a low impact option without the bruises of paintball. Participants will learn survival skills along with how to string and shoot a bow. This exciting, action-packed sport offers the ultimate low impact, family-friendly team building experience. It’s basically dodge-ball; archery and laser tag on steroids. It’s also a good cardio workout. You’re doing squats, lunges, and you’re running around for almost the entire game. You can burn up to 300 to 400 calories in a 1 hour session, getting everyone off the couch and away from their screens, one of our business goals.

The objective of Arrow Tag® is to obtain points by shooting your arrows across the playing field at your opponents. The team with the most hits wins. Family reunions, birthday parties, church groups, clubs, amateur archers and corporations can book 1 to 2 hour-long sessions for up to 20 people or up to 40 people rotating during breaks.

Arrow Tag® Archery Games are games of mock survival. You will indulge in the art of hunting with a bow and arrow as you duck and hide not only to keep from getting hit by an arrow but to tag your opponents. Arrow Tag® Archery Games are a high energy, fast paced adventure where the hunter is also the hunted. We offer free parking, restroom and shower facilities and other activities to make it a fun adventure day for you and your friends.

“Archery Paintball and Zip Lining

The archery paintball was a blast for me and my teen boys. Very relationship building. The games involved really made it more interesting and supplied a much needed breather when we were winded from shooting so much. Zip line was awesome! The boys would love to revisit XBC!

“Awesome time!”- Reviewed November 17, 2014

We have decided to start a yearly tradition of paintball and "camping" in the cabins. We had an absolute blast playing paintball and standing around a camp fire. We are all in our mid-30's and loved every minute of it. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We have been here several times over the last 10 years and have always had a blast! Highly recommended and we will certainly be back again next year!

“Play Paintball and Get Neil Moore as your paintball guide!”- Reviewed June 22, 2015

We had Neil Moore as our paintball ref. I've been to many paintball arenas and played in many games and have to say that he by far was the best referee and host that I have ever had. The games were well made closely watched and most of all he understood that we just came to have fun and he made sure that it happened. So again its totally worth going to and thank you Neil Moore for the great time! | Jordan P | Savoy, Illinois

“Arrow Tag at eXplore Brown County

Donnetta & Mike Polomski

I'm 51 & my husband is 45, we took our grandsons - Kaleb 14, Isaac 12, & Henry 5, we are from Clinton, Indiana

Kaleb & Isaac wanted to zip line for spring break and I have always heard Explore Brown County was the place to go so I looked up their website. I saw the article mentioning arrow tag was new this spring and immediately knew my grandsons would love to try this. We had never played anything like this before. Gary was wonderful helping us to arrange zip lining for the older boys & a buggy ride for the youngest grandson. He was then able to arrange the arrow tag to take place after the other events were done. You can tell this is Gary's passion. He was very knowledgeable on the history of the sport. He gave the kids a history lesson on how certain arrow tag games were played. He showed them exactly how to shoot their arrows and let them practice. They caught on quickly, even the 5 year old. They had a blast!  They played several types of arrow games & even won a few. They thought it was cool you could catch an arrow with your hand! We definitely recommend it!! Gary is a great teacher, very patient with the kids, full of history, and stresses safety. The boys got in the car & were already planning their next trip back! Henry, the five year old, said it was his best day ever!!  Review via email April 2016
