Harvest Hall - Event Venue

A distinctive setting for your next event

The Harvest Hall, decorated with rustic antiques and original paintings by Patricia Rhoden Bartels, comfortably seats 165 (the covered porch can accommodate up to 50 additional guests). 

The Hall is furnished with tables, chairs, a small bar area, stage, dance floor space, and a fireplace. The beautiful wooden staircase creates the picture-perfect occasion for a bride’s grand entrance or wedding party photos. Upstairs there is a separate room that can be used as a breakout room for corporate meetings or changing room for wedding parties.


We can assist you in planning your event by offering catered food and beverage services. Alcohol is permitted inside the hall, renter must assume all liability and responsibility and maintain the alcohol in a private setting, and not exposed to the general public. Indiana state laws relating to the distribution and consumption of alcohol must be strictly followed. Valley Branch Retreat Inc. is not authorized by the State of Indiana to handle alcoholic beverages.

Billing Policies
The hall is rented and secured on a first come, first served basis, rental deposit fees must be paid in advance, non-payment will result in cancellation. Tax exempt groups must provide a copy of their Indiana General Sales Tax Exempt Certificate with the signed contract. Valley Branch Retreat Inc. assumes no responsibility for accidents, injuries, damages, and Valley Branch Retreat assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen items at the facility.

WiFi is available outside most of our cabins, front porches, the outside front porch of the Harvest Hall, and limited through campground at no charge.

Please note that we are not responsible for electrical outages due to acts of God, no refunds based on weather.

Our Harvest Hall has been used for a multitude groups/events including: weddings, formals, family reunions, music festivals, church groups, and more! We try and tailor what we offer so that you will have the best possible experience with us. However, there are some basic guidelines that all who rent our Harvest Hall (and our other venues) must abide by. Please click below for more information.

Outdoor Venues



The outdoor shelter/stage will accommodate large wedding parties, concerts, and general get-togethers. The Stage is surrounded by beautiful Brown County forest and is a favorite location for any outdoor event.

The stage includes 4 surrounding campsites to give you extra room for the needs of your event; even feel free to spend the night in our campgrounds! We do not provide any seating so you would have to provide that yourself.


Paintball Tent

Utilize our military M*A*S*H themed paintball area for your birthday party, company outing, family reunion, or themed. Enjoy your event while looking at our collection of military vehicles dating back to the Korean War! 

Includes the use of two military tents, two wood burning stoves, and a bonfire ring. Picnic table seating for 60. Area capacity 250. Includes water and electricity.
