Cabin Policies

We want your visit to be a positive experience. We ask that all guests read and understand our policies before booking a cabin. All of our cabins are rustic and do not have inside plumbing. There is a public restroom and shower house within walking distance to the cabins. 


  • Check in time: 2 pm | Check out time: 11 am | High occupancy levels may delay check in times. During peak periods, late check outs will not be honored.
  • Parking is only available next to your rented cabin
  • Quiet hours are in effect from Midnight to 7 am and no vehicle traffic is allowed after 10 pm. Speed limit at all times is 5 mph. 
  • All cabins are non-smoking
  • Each cabin has one picnic table
  • Each guest is required to register and sign in at the office
  • Day visitors of cabin guests must register at the office and pay a $5 fee per guest
  • Electronic wavier must be completed for every guest/visitor.
  • No one under 18 years of age is permitted to stay overnight in cabin without an adult present.  
  • Pets are not permitted at XBC, with the exception of service dogs. Our camp dogs are sociable
  • Absolutely no firearms, fireworks, or weapons of any kind are permitted
  • Properly dispose of your trash in the provided containers, WE RECYCLE! Help us keep our planet green. A $20 fee will be charged for not recycling, burning toxins in campfire ring, or leaving trash around cabin 
  • Campfires are permitted in designated areas only – you may not bring wood into the facility due to state infestation regulations. Wood is available onsite | $15 per wheelbarrow | $7.50 armload
  • Report any emergencies, issues, or complaints to the park attendant (knock on Cabin 8 door). When the attendant is unavailable, or in extreme emergencies, contact the Sheriff's Department. The phone number is posted on all campground bulletin boards. 
  • Please check our website to see what time our office closes. Call to make arrangements for after hours check in. We ask that there is no campground traffic after 10 pm.
  • Please note: we are not responsible for electrical outages due to acts of God, no refunds based on weather


Please follow our check-out procedures:


  • WE RECYCLE – all cans, glass, and plastics #1 & #2 are to be placed in recycling containers
  • All trash, both inside and outside, must be bagged and placed in dumpster
  • Turn off the heating/cooling system and all lights
  • Leave keys in cabin with the door unlocked


There is a $20 fee for lost keys and/or excessive cleaning in your cabin.


Guests are responsible for any damages or theft, which must be reported to the office prior to checking-out. We are not responsible for loss of any personal items, accidents, or other occurrences that may happen during your stay.

Cabin Rates & FAQ's

Staying in our cabins is similar to camp style accommodations, so we don't have TV's, radios, or cable access. You will need to bring everything with you to make your visit feel like home. Here are a few helpful suggestions.


What to Bring:


  • Bedding, linens, pillows
  • Shower and bathing personal items; towels
  • Clothing
  • Beverages, food
  • Folding chairs


What Not to Bring:


  • FIREWOOD – due to Emerald Ash Borer infestation, you are not permitted to bring firewood into eXplore Brown County. We sell wood for your fire rings | $15 wheelbarrow load | $7.50 armload
  • NO GLASS CONTAINERS - due to safety issues, glass containers are not permitted in the campground area or the cabins
  • PETS - we do not allow our guests to bring their pets while staying and/or visiting

      

RATES − our rates per cabin are based on 4 person occupancy and range from $60-$130. There is an additional fee for each additional guest. All guests are required to check-in.


  • $80 per cabin, per night (spring & summer) | covers 4 people
  • $105 per cabin, per night (fall) | covers 4 people
  • $25 surcharge per cabin, per night (holiday weekends) | covers 4 people | there is a 2 night minimum
  • $60 per cabin, per night (winter months Nov - Mar | covers 4 people
  • $12 per person, per night | additional guests
  • no charge for occupants 6 and under
  • Outside tent camping is permitted next to your rented cabin up to 4 people | $6 per person, per night
  • Please note: we are not responsible for electrical outages due to acts of God; no refunds based on weather.

  • Cornhole | $10 per day
  • Horseshoes | $5 per day
  • Darts | $5 per day 
  • Ping Pong balls | $1
  • Canoes | Rowboats | $10 4 hours | $20 all day | $20 deposit
